As you may recall, in the UK dental servicing is generally carried out by Servicing Companies, and often small ones at that! That is, rather than NHS biomeds.
The same can certainly be said about veterinary hospitals and practices (who, as may be imagined, use a lot of "ex-medical" equipment, in the main).
I agree that it would be nice to see a forum dedicated to each of those areas. But I presume that guys working on kit like that are just too busy ... being on the
Dark Side, and all!
