IntelliVue XDS Application revision J.00.00 (Build 445) is now available for download from the XDS website: http://intellivue.medical.philips.com/download

A big thank-you to all of you who provided feedback on your user experience and expectations, especially to thread starter Mike_D. Much of the feedback from you has been incorporated in to this release.

Some of the key features in the new software release are:

• Patient name can be hidden on XDS Remote Window (e.g. if computer is placed outside of the patient room in the hallway). This ensures patient privacy and helps us comply with HIPAA requirements in US.
• Wave-drawing algorithm has been rewritten, consuming much less processor power and resulting in smooth waves even when XDS remote window has been resized. This frees up even more resources on the PC for using processor intensive third-party applications.
• Application SmartKeys have been enabled on the XDS Remote Window (using demographics of the currently active patient for command line arguments). So now you can click on an application SmartKey showing up on your XDS remote window, and the 3rd party application will start up on the PC. This enables you to allow users to launch 3rd party applications even when you choose to deploy XDS as a full-screen application and deny the users access to the desktop. Previously, users had to go in to the "advanced" menu to launch applications in such a deployment. Happy now, Mike? smile
• Input Device Sharing now works for MP60, 70 and 90 with an external PC. The mouse cursor moves smoothly off the edge of the XDS display and appears on the patient monitor display, allowing you to control both devices with one set of mouse/keyboard connected to the PC. You can specify the installation geometry by indicating whether the XDS display is placed above/below, or to the right/left of the patient monitor. The input device sharing works between a PC running XDS and its designated "home monitor".
• XDS printing component now functions even when a PIIC or a PIIC-iX (aka "central station") is present on the network. This allows the PC hosting the XDS application to receive printouts (in PDF, JPG, TIFF, BMP, PNG or other formats, or direct them to the local printer) from an attached monitor. The PC can only receive printouts from its own "Home monitor".
