Hi HC,

Is the switch part of the IntelliVue Clinical Network, or part of the hospital IT network?

If it is part of the IntelliVue network, then the switch is configured wrong - it should be set to auto negotiate, or if that fails, to 10MB/s Half Duplex (definitely not 100 MB/s Full Duplex, as other components of the ICN may not support those speeds).

If your MX800 is deployed on the hospital network, you need to configure the switches as detailed in the Customer Supplied Clinical Network specifications document (requirements vary depending on the installation).

I strongly advise referring this issue to your local Philips customer service organization. A clinical network is considered part of a medical device, and any modification to such a network (which includes changing/replacing switches) must be carried out by a trained individual. A network disruption could prevent data/alarms being shown at the central station, which could lead to a delay in treatment and/or a patient incident.
