Yes. I can't see that it makes much sense to fiddle about with dental handpieces yourself, when that sort of service is available.*
I have always regarded them in a similar light to surgical instruments, endoscopes, pressure regulators and such - best left to skilled, specialist people with the necessary level of workshop facilities.
