Unfortunately I was not clear in my first posting.
I have clinics in the fluoroscopy room where I am operating the x-ray and other equipment so I am right next to the beam and there is patient scatter.
Last Friday I was in there from 10am to 6pm with a snatched 30min lunch, wearing the lead the rest of the time. I do wear a split, kilt & waistcoat, set but being of a larger build I have to wear the largest size hence more weight.
The radiographers have it easy they just set up the couch and equipment on the trolley then play Candy Crush behind the screens with no lead on.
Now you see my need for light weight protection. The stuff I wear at the moment is .35mm lead equivalent. I know that the more expensive stuff uses denser material so is lighter weight.
I just need the names of some suppliers so I can contact them.
