Whilst I agree to some extent with Mike X on the using bootlace crimps is a good option but this Is just as much a mine field as tinning.
I have 30 + years experiance in the connector industry ( with the second largets connector mfg) and crimping just as tricky.
Both crimp tools above do not have parallel action and as such could cause rolling and crimp tighter on one side than the other which can cause problems as well as over crimping which causes electrical problems. There is also no way of checking the crimp height with these which is critical to ensuring a good crimp.
