Here's some more "Rocket Science" (NOT)!
Surely I'm not the only one who has encountered "cooking" (or worse still, "toilet") smells from other flats in high-rise buildings?
I remember having to deal with such "snags" on New Hospital Projects (in nurses accommodation - a new build - in one particular case); once identified, the problem was easily dealt with by a bit of re-engineering (or perhaps I should say the correction of the earlier poor design "by others").
The key here being:- ventilation (especially in warmer - and (or) humid - climes). I was always suspicious of HVAC systems - best avoided where possible, in my opinion. All those ducts blowing who knows what to who knows where!
