I have the TE-171/172 manual, and it is a good one (very detailed).
I can't remember where I got it from; probably from one of the more "obscure" websites (and I never download from any of the "pay wall" locations).
Anyway, and unfortunately, it is a large (47 Meg) .doc file (MS Word). I don't have my old PDF tools available these days, so I can't produce a .pdf version, and 47 Meg is too large to attach to an email.
Also, what are the limitations of Gmail at your end? I seem to recall that Gmail does not like to receive .zip files, for example (easily got around by renaming the file extensions).
Using one of my favourite (and trusty) tools - namely Christian Ghisler's "Total Commander" - I have been able to split the .doc file into two .zip files of around 22 Meg a piece. Each .zip file contains a number (16 or 18) files of 1.46 Meg each.
If I sent those two files to you, you would need "Total Commander" to recombine the files (menu option Files | Combine Files...) into a single .doc file. I have tried it here, and it works OK.
If you don't already have "Total Commander", it may be downloaded for free. I would recommend doing just that, having used it myself almost daily for over 18 years.
Next ... I'll take a look at the manual to see if it offers any clues about the error you are encountering.
