I am being told the problem with the batteries was one of the internal connection wasn't reaching the desired temperature. I take this to mean there is an internal "dry joint" (the name I use for a solder connection which has failed to flow or with time creates a circular gap around the wire.) ICU are replacing CSB batteries they have supplied. We also bought from Euro Energy but I have not heard if there is going to be some replacement scheme.
