It's now the 18th June - 6 days since we heard from those dyed-in-wool Engurland fans. Perhaps after just scraping that 1-0 win against some unknown South American team, they've had a reality check. Snowler, These far Northern folk have little compassion for England? As for that sad English git agreeing with them....'the squad lacks in real quality'?

England havent played well I agree, however, lets have a look when they play Sweden our first real test, they should improve their game against better opposition. No one can deny this is an open world cup, Brasil look like any other European National side, Germany are weak, We recently beat Argentina recently, France look old and tired, Italy and Spain look a good bet.

England have every chance of going the whole way. Both T&T and Paraguay didn't have to beat England, and played that way. England broke down T&T time after time last night and my only complaint it they should have had a netful. Crouchy may not be quite good enough to do the job at this level, Rooney would have had a bagful if he had played from the start.

The World Cup doesn't start until the knockout stages, when teams can't frustrate for a draw. Then we will see just how strong a side England are.

Well England still have a good chance of making it all the way, IF they start playing as a team and not as individuals. The main failing so far ( as brilliantly pointed out by Alan Hanson, a Scotsman!!!) is the gap left by the midfield falling back too far and playing deep.
Sven should let Gerard have a roving role in front of Lampard or vice versa.
The only two teams that seem to be really convincing so far are Argentina and Spain, but anything can happen in the knockout phases.
