Do you have any insuflators or surgical cameras (head only). Items don't need to be in working order.

Gents, just be aware of MDA DB9801 supplement 2. secondly, if you dispose of your equipment via the DSA they take on all subsequent liability. Equipment is refurbished via independent contractors correctly disposed of i.e. no land fill or finding its way onto EBAY, the trust then recieve direct payment in return, post sale.

You could of course go via that tried and tested route of auction houses and recieve very little in return, with liability and therefore pottential litigation cases biting your arse some years from now.

As long as kit has been maintained properly (as, no doubt, the equipment in question would have been), and it is being offered together with all available technical information and service histories (?), what’s the problem? … especially if it’s going to an overseas destination (where the real issue is more likely to be local technical competency). I catch the vibes here that people are being frightened into binning good equipment. There is a whole world out there beyond the UK NHS you know, guys! smile

…who are usually too busy chasing ambulances (…and there’s certainly a lot of those charging around the streets of London these days)! smile

I've purchased, for my employer, various items of equipment being disposed of by UK institutions. AS yet I have had no issues with the items (perfectly good codemasters), for 1/10th of the price being asked for here.
I have to agree with Geoff that a lot of equipment is propably being wasted when it could still be utilised by someone else.

Dear sir,
I agree with you on the utilisation of medical equipments rather than wasting. But when you are selling/donating or buying/receiving donation, make sure some one (Trained Biomed )available at your centre, who can take care of these units and the availability of spare parts. Local distributors/manufacturers are normally hesitant to support these equipments since you haven’t purchased from them. Some times they may force you for higher AMC and sell parts for exorbitant cost, which means they will take the money, which you have saved on procurement.

Regards
Sajeev
