Drager won't move out of the comfort of their training establishment! That might be why we don't have much of their kit. We've had on site courses from Maquet, philips, Graseby, KCI, Cardiac Services, Ultramedic, Conmed, Biegler plus others. I think if was the difference between a company getting awarded a tender or not they would be flexible. The sales team would apply pressure. I feel we as customers we should be able to dictate training venues!

Bringing this thread back to topic...

We had a meeting yesterday regarding the implementation of this 'New pay deal'.

Nothing new was mentioned that I didn't read on this web page, except being a test site, we get 2.225% rise in April and not the 3.225% the rest of you will get.
The justification for this is we SHOULD get an increase in June when I all starts happening!

I have just seen a list of National Job Profiles and pay scales. Does anyone know where we fit into them as there does not appear to be one titled Medical Electronics or EBME.

Richard, forgive me for answering for Ken, but I did a little digging on the doh web page.

There are two new additions there which may be of interest to people.

The banding structure is laid out from the lowly 1 to the heady grades of 7 or above,

I agree with Ken, we don'y appear to be heare, unless you're a Physicist/Clinical Scientist.

The link is www.doh.gov.uk/agendaforchange

The first two are the HR booklet and structure

Richard,
If you check out pg 52, sect.13.10 - (ii) of the Agenda for change (proposed agreement), you should find reference to Annex G (pg 70) it appears that we have been classified under The Professions in Healthcare Science - "Engineering and the Physical Sciences". Looks as if we,ve gained a new title too! (Technologists in Equipment Management). Still have not seen any evaluation for grading, so who knows where we'll end up!
Hope this helps...
