I have recently had a look through the different types of bands in the new Agenda for Change document and I am struggling to locate what Medical Engineers actually come under. Could anyone shed a light on this for me?

I believe it is under 'Healthcare Scientists'.

Just read somewhere that the Radiographers union have rejected AfC, has any other union also rejected this?

I am pleased to announce the result of the Amicus MSF ballot on Agenda for Change. The question asked was to enable Amicus to proceed to the Early Implementer stage from 1st June. A further ballot will be held in the summer next year 2004 on the reviewed agreement following early implementation.

The full details will be circulated next week but the ERBS who conducted the postal ballot have just given us the overall result which is that 78.9% voted in favour.

I believe the turn out was 48% of members i.e.26,000 members.
Did everyone get their voting slips?
Can't find "healthcare scientist" in the AFC website(at www.doh.gov.uk).

I'm probably one of the many who missed out on voting because I never receievd my ballot paper. The union lost my details and I was too late in getting my details to them.

I for one voted against as like many users of this site do not know what pay deal I will get! The impression I have is that I am going to receive a pay cut because even pay protection results in loss of income.

I can not see how MSF is pleased when so many of us, MTOs, have no idea where we stand. I now believe that the 'steam roller' has started and there is no stopping it! Regardless what happens to us the outcome is now decided.

I voted for, at the moment, my understanding was that while we don't know fully how these changes would affect us in the long run, there was no other offer or deal on the table. Therefor a YES would at least move things along, and early impimentation could begin, so that in the future things should be sorted and we will know how the new changes will affect us overall.
Then there will be a further vote to fully accept the new proposals. That as I understand it will be the time for the accept or reject on a nation wide basis.
This is my understanding, I also believe that if you individually do not want this you can remain on your existing trust contract.
Its all as clear as mud.

My impression is if you are un-sure vote no and place the onus on them to explain further.

If you vote yes you accept the concept.

I can't agree with the opinion of voting yes because there is no other alternative.

The kids from Grange Hill could re-release their song "Just say no" but this time based on the premise "Just say yes", we don't know what the outcome of taking drugs are but we'll take them anyway ans see how bad they are for us afterwards.

I to voted no, just like Dave Hippo I wouldnt agree to something that does not make clear to me
what is going to be the consequences to me of the outcome.
In the case of AFC, at this time we know nothing of where any embe grade is going to be transferred to so how can we agree to continuing a process until such a time that at least there are job specs done.
