For Info,
I have just received an email from our personnel dept saying
"Pay Award 2005 / 06 (1 April 2005 to 31 March 2006)
Just a note to advise that an uplift of 3.225% will be applied to the pay of all Trust staff with effect from 1 April 2005.
The uplift will be effected in April salaries for monthly paid staff and has featured in the salaries of weekly paid staff since 1 April 2005."
This is regardless of AfC negotiations as we have not yet been either interviewed or job matched.
I would suspect this would be the same for all other EBME techs in whatever trust.
Brian

To work out a pension using career average - would it be adjusted for inflation over the period? I'd like to think so, but.........?
To infinity and beyond.....

try going to google look for PAY SCALES FROM APRIL 2006 TO APRIL 2007. The nursing standard has an update. At 2.5%.

We (medical technologists working in the NHS) still aren't in the same pay review body as the Nurses and other allied professionals, as far as I'm aware, but it's likely that our representatives will accept 2.5% sooner rather than later. NHS Employers - Pay awards

As far as I was aware the whole idea behing a4c was that we all ended up on the same pay spine. One of the reasons being to minimise admin to pay and salaries. If you are saying we will all still get separate pay awards whats the point in the pay spine?

NHS Employers is now in a position to propose an increase of 2.5% for the remaining equally important groups of NHS staff who come under the Agenda for Change system and whose pay is determined separately by the Pay Negotiating Council. This is the same offer as that made to staff covered by Review Body for Nurses and Other Health Professions Review Body (NOHPRB) in order to preserve the integrity of the Agenda for Change pay spines and to ensure equal pay for equal value.
