I think it'd be interesting for us all to see what mix of knowledge, experience and skills is out there.

Hello Sajeev,
Academic qualifications are
Secondary School (11-16 year-olds):
CSE - Certificate of Secondary Education GCE - General Certificate of Education GCSE - General Cetificate of Secondary Education
Further/Higher Education/Technical College:
C&GLI - City & Guilds (London Institute) ONC/OND - Ordinary National Certificate/Diploma HNC/HND - Higher National Certificate/Diploma
Certificates are normally awarded after part-time study by candidates that work. Diplomas are obtained by full-time students.
Higher Education/New University (Polytechnical College)/University:
Graduate Degree - B.Sc, B.Eng, Postgraduate Degree - M.Sc, PhD, etc.
ATO to MTO grades are UK National Health Service technician job grades that determine level of responsibilities and pay. ATO is the lowest grade (Technician Assistant, possibly not formally technically qualified), MTO1 (Junior Technician) and MTO5 the highest (e.g. Department Manager).

Nothing - the information is available for all who vote to see. I just thought that it'd be interesting to see what the actual skills-mix is out there (in the NHS preferably) rather than take it as read from individuals who put forward their own views as to what's required to do the job. I thought I'd post a poll so we could see what the reality is. As with all polls or statistics - the more individuals that get involved then the more representative the overall response should be.

Richard For qualifications gained do you mean actual certificates or equivalent knowledge gained through experience, on the job training and manufacturers training courses !.

All of the above - there are 6 questions in the poll - actually I never just mean academic qualifications when I say "qualifications".

Hi Richard, I too agree with you. Your Questions are OK for the present industry Outlook. Let us see how many people respond and please publish the poll results later after you find the number of respondents are enough.
