Age 53 (same IQ and waist measurement) Early working life spent dahn pit as a coalface electrician, tired of that, went back to school to get HND Electronics. Been at this hospital 22 years, 14 years as a tech, 3 years as acting manager, 5 years as a proper manager (allegedly) Hopefully I`ll get time off for good behaviour.

As the original post was with regard to age, and there are almost 2000 registered users, if everyone posts in the current manner, this is going to get ridiculously huge.
May I suggest a poll?
P.S. - 33 years old with 8 years experience

I like this topic, the replies have been interesting. As you can see from my reply, I have more than one string to my bow, albeit broken ones. I came to this trade by accident, literally. I'm no longer able to do 'physical' work so electronics suits me fine, EBME is very interesting work. It would be interesting to see how many of us drift in to EBME from other trades.
Sorry for the slight deviation from the thread.
Cheers Mark

I'm 49 years old from the waist up, 21 from the waist down and 14 emotionally so people should be nice to me!
I spent 4 years with Decca Radar (that was a lovelly old company) as a trainee technician, 6 years at Guys as a Medical Physics Tech and 21 years at my present abode as a senior tech.
Maybe I'm a bit of a dull person but I still love the work.
