Make sure you're getting like for like when comparing Keymed with others. I think, but am not sure that the original name of TBS GB was ESL. They offered me similar savings years ago. I didn't take up the offer as scopes were not covered for accidental damage and seeing as they are easily dropped and knocked it would be quite easy for them to claim it was accidental damage.

TBS do indeed service olympus scopes as does endoscopy UK (to a degree on the latter).

I will gladly answer any concerns you may have on 3rd party scope maintenance.

SN9818 happened a long time ago and scope maintenance has come a long way since then.

Keymed's approach to the supply of parts to 3rd party providers has also become evident in their case against EUK (Fujinon) ref: CE/1165-02 - Office of fair trade. They have a just and rightfully strict policy on parts provision and are currently negotiating with TBS for the provision of OEM only parts

Keymed's willingness to engage in these negotiations with TBS prove that they are confident with TBS competence in Scope repairs.

Not heard many good reports as of yet re TBS GB and thats from a few their ex employees who joined them only a few months ago, so that in itself speaks volumes, as for Pheonix, honest company, good professional response and value for money seems to be the consensus.
