Has anybody actually tried (or uses) a V1000?

The V-1000 certainly looks to be the sort of thing we're always wanted! Not exactly cheap though, is it? smile

Hi Rob,
Yes we do, it beats rubbing the hairs on the back of your hand.
Our rep Keith Taylor was happy to lend us one for evaluation before we bought one.

I could never get that trick to work, but then I don't have any hairs on the backs of my hands (or the palms! wink )

Have you been inside the unit? - is it just a speaker in fancy box?

I will have to see if we can get a trial, it would certainly make testing the foetal monitors easier.

Cheers for the info,
Rob.

I don't normally take things apart until they fail, however having removed the back I can see what might be a flat panel speaker (but it equally could be something else) and a circuit board.

Hi Chaps

The Viamed V1000 is ideal for such testing, rate and sensitivity.
It is not intended for calibration but is ideal for checking as in this post. We have one it is useful for a variety of devices, e.g. Fetal Monitor, Huntleigh Hand Held Dopplers, etc.
