Geoff,

We ve got two machines from Planmeca and before i was admitted for this training planmeca asked me for the serial numbers of the detal chair and dental x-ray we have, its not about the cooler Finland,i actually dont fancy such weather the last time i was in middleborough cleveland in dec 2006 i almost got sick in the freezing north England.Well thi training will be of use to me even now i ve two dental chairs that where sent as donations but i havet fixed them and also the planmeca dental chair i have still isnt working well.

I would also train other biomeds after the training.

Thanks
Roman

Roman, if I was Bill Gates I would gladly sponsor you (and all the other deserving cases), believe me. I was just trying to clarify and illustrate your position (mainly for the benefit of others).

Meanwhile, do you mean that (yet again) you have a case of donated equipment in need of repair? Damaged in transit, I wonder? Or was it junk when it was thrown into the container? frown

Unfortunately, I doubt that you'll be receiving a cheque any time soon. But can I suggest that you tell us more about the faults you have encountered, so then perhaps someone can help out with a bit of advice about those? smile

Geoff,

The Dental unit from Planmeca model prostyle compact display error E3.1 - E3.4, from the service manual its the insufficient air/water pressure tried to solve the problem but in vain , another dental chair is its footswitch can not move it up and down, the donated equipment came without compressors and they lack any manuals thes came from Italy.

Roman,

The last time I had the E3.1 and E3.4 coming up it was due to a faulty Pressure Sensor Block on the Multiplexer. You can use the Service Mode n38 to check the water and air pressures (according to the unit) then stick a manometer on to the syringe for comparison.

If the foot switch ploblem is on another planmeca chair it may need calibrating, or I have had the screws holding the top PCB coming loose before so that the sensors move.

Planmeca parts in the UK from Plan Dent 01707 822420 for Rob in the speres Dept.

Lee,

This very good stuff it seems you ve workedon this model quite often, actually i may need a pressure sensor Block the one on the multiplexer hopefully it will work, let me ask planmeca the cost of this .
The foot switch is on the devices that came as donations from Italy.

Roman what make and model are the devices that came as donations from Italy?

Are you experienced with dental chairs? If not a few suggestions.

Most dental systems have a cut out switch under the chair to avoid crushing anyone’s foot; these often are latched (pressing the plate resets them) I've had both the switch and the operating mechanism go faulty before.

If the chair is hydraulic and the chair stuck at the top of its travel then the bleed solenoid maybe faulty or blocked.

Hi Roman

Not heard much about Planmeca, so for curiosity visited their website http://www.planmeca.com/index.php?page=63040&lng=1&COUNTRY_ID=57

Noticed they have an agent in Tanzania, which if my geography is right a lot closer for you. Have you tried these agents, they must have service technicians trained and able to pass their professionalism on.
