Morning all,

I've been tasked/lumbered with finally getting an equipment up and running. We are about a 500 bed general hospital split across 2 sites. I'm looking to visit a few sites of similar size (preferably easy train access - west coast line)for only a couple of hours if possible.

Just as an aside, doesn't foundation mean you are at the bottom, surely it should be a pinacle trust?

Please PM me if you could show us around

Cheers

One whole piece of equipment for your hospital? boggle
Or perhaps an equipment Library? grin

Sorry, its these pills I've self prescribed, I'm sure they are a placaebo-!

Yes an equipment library, but the way this place is going it may soon be as in Monty Python..."quick get the machine that goes ping...here comes the administrator!!!"

You may find the Equipment Library section of the Forum really useful. And you can see all the names of bods discussing MEL.

Hello Gaz,

As KM said - lots of info on the forum, but you could also read: https://www.ebme.co.uk/arts/library/index.htm

I am in the process of managing the setting up 2 new equipment libraries at Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals. Lots of hurdles.

Most importantly, do visit hospitals of a similar size with an equipment library. smile

If you give it a couple of months you can come here (to Enfield). smile

Thanks peeps, it is going to be a while before I can break the chains and get out (I've got to have a use of the bone shaver in a couple of weeks...I do hope it has been maintained!!!)

I would be more than happy to show you our library which we set up in 2002. We are in Sutton Coldfield so not too far away (not sure about trains - I suppose one to Bham then one to Sutton)
