I've found a guy which is able to reprogramm this battery. But I don't have a clue which values were in original battery.
...I'm still assuming that problem is in "incompatible" values stored in Smart electronics of battery pack

Sounds like a useful guy.

Meanwhile, have you tried making enquiries on that other well-known forum? smile

NJ-1020 versus NJ-1020-HP. smile

The NJ-1020-HP Data Sheet says "compatible with Phillips M-3046A M3/M4 patient monitors". Perhaps detailed comparison of the Technical Data Sheets might yield hidden secrets (but I've just spent five minutes with them and didn't spot any differences). Could the difference be the one that appears on the price list? whistle

Meanwhile, if anyone has time to spare, the SBS link looks like it might be interesting.

The battery for the Philips HeartStartXL defib is a standard one with a small indentation in the end. I think a standard one without this dent operates a microswitch so the defib knows you are using the "wrong" battery.
The official reason for this is that the batteries are checked to a higher standard......and sold at a higher price of course.
Is a similar thing occuring here either electronically or mechanically.
Robert
PS carefull use of a drill can replicate the indentation according to a sales rep for a Philips distributor when I commented on the price of batteries.

My spelling is not bad. I am typing this on a Medigenic keyboard and I blame that for all my typos.

Yes, I'm mighty HP and if you want me it will cost you fortune shades

I've checked both datasheets and only difference might be on adresses 0x1b and higher (table on page 12)

About SBS forum. Annual membership fee is $150. Nice. I'm desperate, but not desperatly insane.

RoJo: Sadly, theres no microswitch. Life can't be so easy smile

Good news Shamal but be prepared to have to do up to three full charge / discharge cycles to clear the condition battery message. ninja
