Yes they are. The procedure for servicing of these items is done by use of a special to type syringe calibration device and software supplied from BBraun. You then hook up to your PC and do all the calibrations via that.
I'm not sure that BBraun will supply you with the software and cal syringes unless you have done their engineers course. You can try though.
Otherwise give me a shout and I'll come and do them myself!! I used to live in Cascais, great place!

But Mofe also mentioned fmS and fm which are volumetric infusion pumps - not syringe pumps so you can not use the calibration device.I use Metron QA-IDS which seems to work fine.If there is any problems (malfunction, error indications etc.) I use the syringe driver and software.

Mofe, As you are having problems with so many different models of pump can I ask an obvious question: Have you checked the IDA? I have known these to be consistently out, making the pumps look inaccurate, especially if it has anything other than distilled water through it. Robert
My spelling is not bad. I am typing this on a Medigenic keyboard and I blame that for all my typos.

Braun use the IDA4 FOR FLOW MESUREMENTS AS DO MOST PUMP SUPPLIERS AND IF CALIBRATED YEARLY SHOULD BE CORRECT .THE CAL SYRINGE AND SOFTWARE YOU TALK ABOUT IS USE TO CALIBRATE THE PUMP AS WITH ALL TYPES OF PUMPS I THINK YOU ARE ALL TALKING AT CROSS POINTS .ALSO PEOPLE SHOULD NOT USE NICK NAMES AND STUPID TITLES YOU SHOULD BE PROUD TO USE YOUR REAL NAMES OTHER WISE IT MAKE S THE EBME SITE LOOK LIKE A CHAT ROOM.

I think it's impossible. So you must use Metron QA-IDS/Lagu or IDA 4 in my opinion. According to my knowledge the cal syringe can be used only for Perfusor fm and Perfusor compact-pumps - not for Infusomat fm/fmS-pumps.

I use the IDA4 for flow and occlusion test. The cal syringe and software is used to callibrate the syringe drivers (pumps) most syringe pumps use simillar methods to calibrate their syringe pumps

I was referring to the BBraun perfusor compact when I spoke of the requirement for special to type software and syringe calibrator.
Can we call off the Syringe Police now?
