Anybody can show me(image, sketch, photo) where fans are in scanner?

Is it necessary to remove side panels to pull out fan tray?

YES, as it is not only the fan that requires cleaning, once you have removed the panels you will understand!

This Sequoia is in another city, where I will go tomorrow morning. In previous time, I opened it. But fans are in bottom. I don't screwdrivers out it. So... fan tray screwdrivers out easy, whitout problems? I must all understand

Take a normal toolkit with you and you should be OK. But don't forget to take your small brushes and air blower along as well!

When you opened the unit last time, was it clean inside, or full of fluff?

But be aware of that if you open the board cage covers you need a password to enable Service Access. Removing these covers without the password will (probably) cause the system to be disabled! A brilliant "feature", or what! However, the good news is that simply opening the fan tray and plastic side covers should not cause a problem!

I removed plastic panels, then saw metal construction. Now I don't remember about fluff. Yes, it was there! But what? Must I open also this metal construction? Thank you!!!
