No lad, in the UK at least, Fukuda Denshi is the one to go for, all things considered (as advised many times in recent threads)! Meanwhile Spacelabs kit appears to be a little, shall we say, yesterday, does it not?

But are we using them as 'stand-alone' monitors or as a network?

From what I've heard, SpaceLabs moved their development and manufacturing to MelamineLand. That puts them in the same category as Mindray to me.
Mind you, I'm no xenophobe. Afterall, GE is made across the pond, and Philips is made by the Krauts (at least the monitors) - but I heartily recommend them.

My main problem is "who sells it here and do they have after sales service" too many fly-by-night companies. I have been weeding them out from capital equipment purchases.

I have nothing against the Japs My experience with Fukuda is limited to fiddling at trade shows, but I like the fact that the monitor doesnt look and feel el-cheapo, unlike the Mindrays of this world.

I believe that their kit is good (as it always has been, as far as I am aware). I've also heard good vibes about excellent tech support for Fukuda Denshi in the UK these days (as has been reported in other threads).
