Hi all,

I know there aren't too many of these left in use in the UK, but here we have quite a few! I have a small pile of them with eithe occlusion alarm or 'syringe force' type alarms. This suggests plunger calibration issues perhaps?

Does anyone have any hints or tricks re mechanical calibration of these? The service doc shows special dial gauges etc, but I do not have any access to those manufacturers special tools!

The sad thing is, I will probably have to bin these drivers if I can't sort them out, and I think really there isn't too much wrong with them!

Thanks.

If you could nip over to Jeddah for the weekend, bring your pumps and you can check them in our workshop. Seriously though you will need the calibration tools.

Why not get "your people" to obtain the test kit? smile

I hear they are not as "hard up" as these charity groups sometimes like to have us believe.

And yet again you give me the opportunity to bang the drum:- in the final analysis, it doesn't help anybody by sending donated kit out to wherever, without also giving thought to how it is going to be be supported technically. And, as we all know, that means basic spares (at least), technical documentation, and any test equipment required for routine servicing. Rocket science it ain't!

But please don't bin them. To my mind, that's "new" kit!

That's true that is!

I had been told that the calibration tools are not available any more...does anyone know any different?

That's BS ... who told you that, a syringe pump salesman? frown

Don't you have anyone "useful" sitting in your UK office?

Geoff (or anyone else),

Do you happen to have any ideas WHERE the calibration tool kit, and spares, might be found?

Anyone out there still actively buying spares etc???

Just as a side issue Tony, occlusion problems I have seen here tend more to be motor plate issues rather than calibration.

Sorry Tony, just realised the thread relates to Asena GS and not the GH that we have here.

Tony, Speero is right its usually because the Syringe Pump has been dropped and the plate is distorted, however you still need the calibration kit, to re-calibrate after fitting a new motor plate.Try Alaris directly is my advise T.
