We have two of these units, 6 months old.

Both units have had their ECG lead module fail.

Has anybody else experienced this problem?

Thanks

I had one fail (our only trim II).
The unit was only 10 months old, so it was replaced under warranty. The replacement cost (if it was out of warranty) is around €1500!!

I think there has been a previous thread on this saying that the ECG lead module is prone to problems on the Trim 1 and II.

Yes There seems some major problem with the PIM of these ECG Recorders. Out of 5 machines which we are having over here we have already replaced PIM of 2 machines within 10 months of installation.

yes dear, previously we have discussed problem of tray of the same model finally it was concluded that pim has changed all the tray as lot defect.
now the problem u r saying of the lead module i have also faced that with all these ecg. the problem is very intermittent but you can tackle to remove atleast for longer time .
problem is the connectivity of all the in and out cable is not very confirmed . many of the time its loose or inside the module its fragile . we can call it again as poor quality of this module . dont know how pim qa passed all these. probably they want more biomed eng. to be employed in hospi

I've previously commented on the poor reliability of these machines. If it was my own money, I would not buy another!

As a taxpayer, surely it is your own money! frown

Unfortunately, a lot of the latest kit looks like the OEM was Fisher-Price (…on second thoughts, perhaps I’m being unkind to that well-known manufacturer). smile

Actually I wish more things were made by fisher price as they are kid proof, with a little more R&D they may get to the nurse proof stage!!!!

Let’s just hope that either Mr. Fisher or Mr. Price are regular lurkers on this forum! smile
