Hi Zivadin, looks to me like you have crystal drop out on your probe causing this shadowing(or as i call it noise scatter). This is caused by poor output from the crystals on one side of probe. This has probably been caused by the probe being dropped or possibily that an amount of the small wires just below the transducer head in the cable are breaking down. Does the problem look worse when you press your finger hard over the probe, or move the cable below the transducer head. If so your problem is the transducer. If you have another system you can try swopping the probes then this should prove the transducer is your problem.
I hope this helps

Thank you for suggestion but it is not a problem with crystals.
It will happen on each probe that we connect on unit.On other systems this probe work fine.

Problem is inside of unit but I don`t know what.

Hi Zivadin, Looks like a front end problem. I would put a known good probe into each transducer port. If you get the same bad image in each port the fault is likely to be one of the transmitter pcbs or secondly a receiver board. If you have the problem in one particular transducer port then there's your problem. Have you tried reseating all the circuit boards, a long shot but has been known to fix such problems occasionally. I work for a competitor of GE and am not familar with the names of the pcbs inside but most systems will have two or more transmitter pcbs. If so swop them around and see if the problem moves to another part of the image(make sure you put them back in the original place when finished, this could be important diagnostically!). If you have another system of the same type try swopping the transmitter pcbs between systems, you could do the same with the receiver pcb(again be careful to put it back in the same board slot when you have finished fixing the fault). Any more help please let me know i will try and get hold of an E8 service manual so i can try and assist you more if required.
