Yes, surely good answer! I guess we will be able to gauge a committed person through commitment on family matters.

I guess workplace is your second home after family.

Cheers!

I think I see what you're getting at ... but perhaps you could have phrased the question a little better. For instance, what's an "emergency situation" got to do with it? smile

Perhaps it is a little vague in the term 'emergency situation.'

Perhaps I should have put it this way - choose between your family or your job and they both needed you at the same time.

Or, do you work to live or live to work?
I once worked for a guy who was always saying "if you cut me in half, you would see the company name printed all the way through me". I didn't like working for a stick of rock!!!

If anyone truly puts work before family I wouldn’t want to work alongside or for him\her.

They are either liars or jobs worth’s

The people of Guernsey.

I thought the chaps out there were fighting and dying, so we all could be free and to protect our way of life. (Including their families)
The ultimate commitment our lads and lasses make cannot be compared to our practically insignificant efforts.
and to even put them into this conversation is insulting and disrespectful.
