If I remember correctly, it is something to do with the CPU board.

Go into the service/calibration mode and clear the errors.

If it returns, you will need a new CPU board.

I will check in the manual and post again tomorrow.

F_94 - Configuration option settings checksum is not zero.

Reset config options and check battery voltages are within spec.

If the fault keeps coming back (even after the internal batteries have been replaced, the CPU board needs replacing.

If you refer to the sevice manual, under Calibration, all the necessary instructions are there.

I know this topic is a bit old but still very interesting to me what with more than a 100 of these units in our hospital. The pumps are under lease but still I want to know some first level repair I can do myself.

To BSM,
on the service manual that I have, the calibration starts with going into the EPROM of the unit and there is NOTHING about resetting of error messages. Please can you explain more about the one stated on your copy of the service manual?
Thanks

There is a section in the manual called: "Modifying the Configuration Option Settings" (possibly section 1.5.2).

In that section it refers to clearing the pump alarm log.

This unit was made in Singapore by Sharp, by the way.

How to clear the "Common failure F-94" error? (this is a start-up check-sum error that usually arises by having rubbish in the time and date addresses, due to all system batteries being totally depleted. The solution is to restore time and date to current, or at least valid, values):-

1) Whilst holding down "Panel lock" button at rear of unit, hold down "Stop" and “On/off" together at the front panel. This should bring up "Modify Config" in the top window.
2) Step through config options by pressing "Next" (which should now be lit) to get to "Time".
3) Enter correct time using the number keys.
4) Press green "Pri Start" key to store changed time.
5) Step to "Date", and enter correct date using the number keys.
6) Press green "Pri Start" key to store changed date.
7) Once valid entries have been made, switch off at "On/off".
8) Re-start the unit. Error code should have been cleared!

(sincere thanks to Ed Bennett, the Master of Minutiae, for helping me out with this one) smile
