Now that Thermolectrics has ceased trading after 50 years, please can someone assist me with alternative service agents for heated mattresses manufactured by Thermolectrics.

I thank you for your assistance in this matter.

Does anyone know of a supplier of an alternative product they can recommend?

I must admit I am a little diappointed in the lack of response to this issue. Other trusts must be affected by this issue regarding where/how to get their Thermolectric heated mattresses serviced.

Or perhaps you are biting the bullet and renewing all your heated mattresses.

I thank you in advance for your assistance in this matter.

After a few years now following events on this forum, I would have to say that I would estimate the ratio of posts offering help against those asking for assistance must be something of the order of 1:4. And that would be putting a cheerful slant on things (that is, a conservative estimate)! frown

Not the true Biomed Spirit at all, in my opinion. But there again, I reckon that real Biomeds are somewhat a dying breed anyway.

But ... back to the topic:- what exactly is involved in servicing these mattresses anyway? I guess I know a few people (myself included) who might be happy to bung in a quote! smile

Yes it is a shame how many posts aren't answered but speaking for myself I've never heard of Thermoletric; unfortunately with the very wide range of medical equipment available i don't get to see a great many of the items mentioned in posts.

We use to have some Kanmed heated mattresses for neonates and operating tables from Central Medical Supplies; we might still use CMS for neonates but use Bair Huggers for theatres and A&E.

I'm not sure of the exact company name in this case. Maybe John can advise or confirm.

But ... on the issue of "unanswered questions" ... a) Some other tech forums maintain an "unanswered posts" box (usually prominently enough), in the hope of shaming folk into responding ... but b) Notice that there was a reply made (by Graham) to the original post in this case (so it would have been dropped from the reminder just mentioned).

But, how about it Huw? smile

Another option is the Ardo Amecosy Warming Mattress...a lot less maintenance required than the Kan Med option.....
