Before I visited the people concerned, I must admit I was wondering how come they had spent all that money on that vehicle, only to turn around and offer it for sale (at a loss, surely)?
But having now sussed the place out, I can say that I understand. It is a commercially run Occupational Health operation. And I emphasise the words "commercially run".
Luckily (for us scroungers) they seemingly think nothing of chucking out perfectly good kit just because of some nebulous reason or other. You know, just because the toner cartridges cost a bit more than last year, kit is just out of cal, the forms are last year's colour, or something like that.
But now the "word has been spread", they (hopefully) will give us a call before bunging out anything else. For this I am eternally grateful, but cannot help but feel that the mindset driving operations like this is, shall we say, part of the problem, rather than the solution when it comes to getting Broken Britain back on its feet.
