Apart from on the job training with technicians and clinical staff, there is also the evaluation of new equipment, if you are lucky and can talk to the end-user before the decision to purchase is made so much the better.
Creation of tender specifications is another aspect of the role.
Liaison between the end-user and the vendor.

Underpaid? is there a difference in salaries between NHS hospitals and private hospitals? If your trust went to a managed service and you were transfered would you get a pay increase or a cut?

Fair day's work, fair day's pay. if you are willing to accept less whilst others get more for the same tasks that is your prerogative.

Full-time, part-time or contract?
1981 full-time, nothing after 1988, I have said many times 'glad I don't work there'
