Yes, because it is illegal to bring a non CE marked piece of medical equipment to the market in the EU.

This whole debate proves a point I made months ago if you what this site and your body to be thought of as a professional body you should not allow anybody to register without their full name and who they work for and some form of proof as we should be proud of what we do and stand for

I feel i need to come on again and re-iterate my point about my question. Please be assured, it was just a question. I do firmly believe that companies and the EBME community need to work closely together and as i have said i felt this was the best way to gain a quick answer. If the answers to the above two questions are yes and no respectively then I guess all in the "EBME community" can guess why you asked your original question.

I doubt if it is the quickest way of getting the answer if your answers to my above are no, but probably the only way if your answer to the first question is yes, and sow a few seeds of doubt on the competitor too.

My profile lists everything but my inside leg measurement so my "background" is easily established.

I should state that my Job Title is Patient Safety Advocate and I am employed by Cardinal Health, Alaris Products.

I have just picked up this topic and I would be happy to answer your initial question. The Pump in question gained its CE mark early in January this year. I have a copy of the specific certificate. I understand from my sales colleagues that if you contact them they would be delighted to confirm this (with the appropriate documentation) and discuss any issues you may have.
