PPG? @Umish: if PM procedures are already perfect, why should they ever need changing? But (on the other hand), in a properly run biomed department (not so common as you may imagine, or hope for), each time a tech carries out a procedure, and finds it to be a load of *****, then he should get it sorted out (that is, corrected, improved ... whatever). Rocket Science? If you don't inspect ... don't expect.

Flexibilty is the keyword, if something don't work then we review/discuss and make it work. For complete signature/dating a review once a year is OK I am not Flippant, I am Smart
