The only purpose I've found for the switch (SA01) is that using the pot (CA50) located near the switch (SA01) one can adjust the width of the messages (gain,focus,et.al.) on the monitor.

I have a problem on 988 , The image is too good in the following modes Laproscope, Thorocoscope, cystoscope, But the same image goes darker if i turn to arthroscope.

Does any one know how to get into service menu of 988

Also i have a typical problem on the other 988 machine. The machine is working fine , the wb is getting ok , but if i press the zoom button on the head the normal image goes off & i gat a image with extra brigtness & ghost , once again i zoom out i get back my image which is good
