Has anyone had dealings with this unit in their hospital as were in the process of changing and we have no prior knowledge of this units reliabity, company back up, training etc. If anyone could advise whether its good news or bad news! Many Thanks SC
Simon, We have about twenty Kions at our hospital and generally find them ok. However there are two known defects which we are aware of. First is a problem with leaking absorbers and the other is the capnography unit which freezes. We had a representative come over from Sweden to discuss these issues and he told us the following. Absorber problem will be resolved within the next few months as they are currently having new tooling made. The capnography is a bit more of a problem as Siemens at the present time don't know the cause. Hope that is of some help. If you want more details on any of these faults let me know.
