Hi. I'm currently working on a perl script that will do away with the long scrolling pages of the biomedical departments and suppliers lists. I'd really appreciate if anyone would pass on their comments on what is currently in place. I'm not concerned with content or typos, just format, programming and new ideas, thanks.

The address is test forum
please respond to the forum, or if you would prefer, to me personally at huw@ebme.co.uk
MANY THANKS,
Huw.

Hmmmm, no takers, eh?
Well - it's online now. It's my first attempt at using Perl. Who said Perl was supposed to be easy?
Anyway, if anyone has any difficulty using the suppliers database, I want to know please!! I can't correct it, if I don't know the problem.
One person said he didn't know what to do when confronted with only a 'LOGOUT' button - when he tried to log in. Does anyone else also find this confusing?
The concept behind this, is that - [after you have used the database, I put a cookie on your PC, just so that I can remember that you are a registered user] I know if you are logged *in* or *out*. If you finish with the database, then select another page, and don't log out, the next time you visit you are confronted with said LOGOUT button, because of the cookie. Clear as mud?
Huw.

I have tried the Suppliers database but after clicking on search it throws me back to the login screen! Is this because I don't accept cookies? :confused

Do you see a logout button? If you do, click on it and try again.
I think your 'disable smiles in this post' must be ticked.

Roy/ Paul / Stunorris/ (anyone else interested) - I'm currently writing a script that acts as a product database. It's an enormous job which is well under way. But, before I go too far would you please supply some input? The beta is here the only functional element is infusion pumps .

What a great idea! But I think it will be quite a task to get all devices' manufacturers listed. How about some sort of input where users could supply details of devices that they have and are not on the db?
We could also have a cost column (hey with the lowest cost paid to date !!)Great stuff.
