To a certain extent, one of the reasons I moved.
However, there seems to be an overwhelming perception that under the current government and their "privatisation agenda", that job security is no longer guaranteed. The feeling is that Med Phys/EBME/whatever departments are ripe for companies to cherry pick not only to make an easy profit, but to ensure their products will be utilised. You might think this isn't a bad thing, but if anything, I'd imagine it will stifle competition.
