Mike_d PM me if you want to know more about the Hospira but I would suggest you get a very long barge pole, if you are looking at the Baxter have you seen the many and various postings on this pump over the years? We have some BBrauns here so can also offer an opinion on them. RoJo

I have experience with the XL family of Hospira pumps, I do believe that the mechanical assembly are the same for both families. A quick search of Hospira website did revel a substantial price difference though between the too mec assembly.
The American/Canadian part number for the complete mechanical assembly is 855-95004-033 at 645$ (A+ family)
I strictly replace the mechanical assembly when the fault accrues. You can usually also ship them back for repair at a reduce cost. sorry i cant be of great help.
