Does anyone have a service manual or circuit diagram for this very old unit?
Many thanks,

I expect you have already gone down this route, but I'll mention it in case you haven't.
Have you tried Sigmacon, they look after all the other Birtcher equipment in our Theatres, they may just have what your after. Contact there is Suzanne Louka.

We have some Hyfrecators at work, i'll check what model they are on monday.

From memory though (if its the same ones) then its pretty much a standard ESU check using 500 and 1kohm test loads for low / high power modes.

I'll see what I can dig up on monday for you.

sorry to revive a 2 year old thread but we at the shop I work at came across one of these yesterday that needs repair. r23 exploded and we cannot read the resistor value. If any one has a schematic they can email or can just tell me the resistor value for r23. We would be greatly thankful.

email me at dunomynaim79@comcast.net

Thanks

R23 is 150 Ohm 1/4W, that is Right Hand drive version.
Hope this helps, have a service manual for Model 733/733A if you need any schematics or other info.

we tried that resistor and it burnt again. Does anybody have an electronic version of the schematics that can be emailed? Thanks for your help.

I recently bought one of the old Birtcher Hyfrecator (circa 1950) models that have a black bakelite case. when I got it I wasn't surprised to find it didn't work. The green power light comes on, but there is no output.

What I need to repair the unit is a schematic/wiring diagram. If someone has one, I would be grateful if you would email me a copy.

I certainly would be grateful to anyone that could email me a copy of the schematic/wiring diagram of my hyfrecator. It presently is inoperative and I need the schematic to be able to repair it.

My email address is: wbmpertd@sbcglobal.net

Thanks,

B.M.
