Actually the project is the responsibility of an Iraqi Company that holds several projects in the middle east and north Africa , worked with them on a couple of projects and they asked me to get involved in this project as a member of a team . seems they liked what i did for them previously specially in an HVAC system for a 600 Beds hospital , even it was my first time to handle something like that .

For this project , they will provide me with the schematics and plans , departments that should be included .

I will be responsible for equipment distribution , medical gases , etc.. ..

Still missing some information will get it by next week .

So was hoping to share some expertise in this field , since it will be my first experience in this field .

Multi-disciplined (multi-faceted) design. Creative stuff. Some folk (that is, a few) have a flair for it, some (many) don't. But it's a bit difficult to see how anyone can help without the drawings.

Meanwhile, I have some old DOS software that I put together in the past to develop Room-by-Room and Item-by-Item listings (plus all the other variations). That might sound trivial, but the uninitiated will soon find otherwise once (or perhaps, if) they ever delve into it.

It has always worked fine for me ... but (as I mention in the thread) it still needs a bit more work to render it easier for someone else to use "out of the box", as it were.

Let me know if you would be interested in having a go with that. But, better yet ... if you are able to work directly in dBASE 5.0 for DOS yourself, why not get your Iraqi friends to buy my source code and develop and/or modify it to suit your requirements as you progress? That way I won't need to spend countless hours working on something without the quid pro quo (yet again).

Anyway, good luck with your Project. I know myself how "interesting" (absorbing, time-consuming, frustrating ... and yes, satisfying) they can be!
