No doubt you're right, Mike ... we're just going over old ground.

Just as those who are still around in ten years time will most likely still be wondering about when the VRCT crowd are going to get their act together. whistle

"Bound to happen" or not, I notice that no-one on here has yet been able to answer the simple questions asked. frown

Yes, I think we are singing off the same hymn sheet here. Quite agree - simple questions, yet no answers. Have not got a clue as to when the VRCT crowd will get their act together.

Geoff - I do hope you are wrong when you suggest that we may still be asking the same questions in 10 years time!

If we are all so dissatisfied with the VRCT why arent we proactively doing something about it?
After all we are the group of people it represents arent we?

Such as not renewing your membership perhaps?

My spelling is not bad. I am typing this on a Medigenic keyboard and I blame that for all my typos.

@Karl: ... or purports to represent? think

Perhaps the flock awaits a shepherd to lead it into pastures anew, Karl. What do you have in mind?

@Robert: yes, you never know. That may get their attention. whistle

What we need is someone who is up front, takes no prisoners and can find time to deal with the issue.

Organise some funding, and I'll be on the case come Monday morning! Ha, ha.

But how long have I got - ten years? whistle

I would be happy to start the ball rolling, I will donate £10 (VRCT yearly membership) to you Geoff, if you can address the outstanding issues that are failing to be resolved.

Any other takers?

Ha, ha. I had expected something like that, Sean. But it will take a few more takers to mobilize (or, indeed, motivate) me at that level. smile

To be honest, I prefer to see myself as an evangelist for the more traditional, "hands-on", "fix-it" type of biomed tech. I have always believed (and, indeed, continue to believe) that that is where the most beneficial contribution may be made.

I have never been a great fan of dogma ... be it in religion, politics, or "professional" life. Instead I advocate maintaining an open mind, taking each issue on its merits, and (wherever possible) considering problems from First Principles.

But if someone (a small gang, perhaps) wants to "have a go" at addressing the issues we have all discussed on here (over and over again), I may be persuaded to lend a hand (within my capabilities) in some small measure.

First of all, Sean, we would all need to agree (and list, in order of priority) what those issues actually are! smile
