What I dont agree with is unfulfilled promises, you are discredited in my eyes, (nothing personal Jim, by all accounts you are a thoroughly decent bloke) you just have consistently failed to deliver organisationally on a number of issues, plenty of talk, no action.

How many times do I have to explain that Incorporated Engineer (or Eng Tech) is set at a higher level that VRCT registration. Furthermore you must have the correct competencies in Medical Engineering (or other relevant dicipline) to be able to be registered on the VRCT!

You are attempting to justify, inaction and complacency.
Jim, the chance to resolve these issues has passed. Anything you propose now smacks of proof of the VRCT's unsuitability to fulfil a requirement in a prompt and timely manner.

Sean

Let me explain - before any information can become public it needs to be checked, and sometimes that can take a while.

Furthermore I do not know what you are suggesting but it seems to imply that I do not care or I am treating Registrants with little or no regard. That could not be further from the truth. I care passionately about patient safety and ensuring that our profession takes that issue seriously. Obviously in your opinion my competence levels do not measure up to your expectations and I shall consider your viewpoint carefully before deciding what to do next.

Have you two guys ever met outside of the ring? whistle

Meanwhile, to be honest Jim, I have never met a biomed at any time who wasn't "passionate about patient safety" to one degree or another. Even the lousy ones (and I have come across a few like that). Taking that issue seriously kind of "goes with the territory", does it not?

But some prefer to demonstrate that commitment by simply cracking on with the job, without fanfare or fuss.

Horses for courses, or something like that.

I remember once overhearing:- "****** expresses himself best through the work that he does"! Which sounded good enough for me. smile

The requested VRCT website update has now been posted.
The link can be accessed via the Panel Meetings section.

Thank you for facilitating this request!

Kind regards

Thanks to Sean Fearon for pointing out the route to the December Meeting

I apologise I thought the link on the home page was to the meetings page rather than the individual meeting reports. I have corrected that link
