Do you mean this forum, Chris? think

It may not represent the views of all biomeds, especially the (very) silent majority (nor indeed the "fresh audience" - input from whom we're still waiting to be overwhelmed by) - but at the very least it does provide a platform for biomeds all across the world to say their piece!

That's the only "community" that I'm interested in, myself.

After all (as I keep saying), believe it or not there is a "whole world of biomed" beyond the guarded walls of the British National Health Service(s). smile

Just realised Sean, I have never asked any member of the VRCT management panel to apologise to me for the comments they have made about my ability to carry out my job. Perhaps we should turn the tables and demand apologies from them. Looking back over the years that I've known about the VRCT (c.2005) there have been a numberr of times when they have insulted my professionalism and by inference, my competency. What are the chances of an apology? The pigs are primed & ready for take-off.

When I returned to the UK nine years ago (following a lengthy period overseas), I was advised to join the VRCT by the various recruitment agents (and even close friends) whom I consulted. I considered doing so, but honestly could not see the point. And nothing I've heard about the VRCT since 2004 has convinced me I had been wrong back then.

Forget the pettiness of it all, Bill ... and continue to stake out the Moral High Ground. smile

Yes. Who knows?

Most of the blokes I know who joined the VRCT (not many, I'll admit) did so because they were led to believe that "you will soon need to be in it just to be able to carry on working as a biomed", and similar scare-mongering rhetoric as that.

Then it was "get in quick whilst the grandfathering door is still open".

But you already know all this. frown

So maybe we don't hear too much from the supporters of VRCT (of which, we are told, there are many) because they are avoiding any possible embarrassment caused by being seen to have been taken in by it all. After all, no-one likes being thought of as foolish. Not even me. smile
