Hello,
I'm a biomedical engineer novice and I have to develop an application that allows me to export data from the monitor MP70 using the standard RS232 serial communication.
Help me solve this problem. Thank you all for your attention.
Regards,
Federica

yes, I read the manual for programming but unfortunately I have always used Java but this application requires C + +. Can someone please explain in brief how to write the code in c++? Thank you!!!

It's not clear (to me at least) exactly what it is you are trying to do, Federica ...

Are you trying to capture serial data off the RS-232 (actually a RJ45 connector, I believe)?

Are you trying to connect (interface) the monitor(s) to a Clinical Information System or some such thing?

What kind of data ... wave (and) or numerical?

Which "manual for programming"? Where's the code?

But why do you need to write code, anyway ... are you developing an application? think

Hi fedica,

You may also find some useful info (and contacts) here

Indeed. Not many easy answers there, though.

It seems that we need the appropriate "Data Export Programming Guide" ... does anybody have it? think

Meanwhile, a few minutes with Our Friend has thrown up these links, some of which may render a few more clues (or at least an idea of what's likely to be involved, and the terminology used):-

AAMI .pdf

Shivam Kalra's Blog

More clues from Shivam ... interesting if you're into C (and if not, why not?) whistle

University of Cyprus .pdf

Meanwhile, here's something (hopefully) related:- Demed. And (lastly), here's another guy who has obviously "already been there":- Richard Grier* (there's some very interesting stuff on that website; so why not put the kettle on then spend fifteen minutes browsing around on there?).

First of all, thank you very much everyone for your help. For accuracy should develop a version of software for data acquisition from IntelliVue monitor, by way of example shows the following site http://www.ixellence.com/index.php?optio...276&lang=en

Yes. See the ixTrend manual .pdf.

There seem to be a few other companies offering "solutions" like this - see Capsule for example (DataCaptor).

I guess it all depends on how much money folk are willing to spend. whistle

Meanwhile, if you are aiming to develop your own system, I applaud you, and wish you well.

If you can crack this lot, with a simple system, and then place it in the Public Domain ... then you will truly become Numero Uno!

Be sure to keep us informed of your progress. smile

Hello everyone,
I'm interested to practical examples of interfacing with the Intelliviue series. Is there something?
Its programming guide is deficient and unclear.

Welcome to the forum, Alessandro. smile

I've yet to see anyone on the web saying anything different to what you're saying, unfortunately. frown

So let's get this one nailed!

First off, so we can all be clear about what is being discussed, do you (or anyone else) have the infamous "Programming Guide" available for sharing as a .pdf (.doc, or even .txt)? think

If you don't inspect ... don't expect.
