Is anyone able to point me in the direction of good technical support for the Smith & nephew Kinstec CPM? Nomeq no longer support it. The best I get is 'I know a bloke who has looked at them in the past'.

Error D2 = "Failure during motion” What does that mean?

It will intermittently stop with this error in exactly the same place. Knowing what the error is and knowing what is causing it are 2 completely different things. I have stripped the CPM down and cleaned/lubricated as required.

Help please.

Potentiometer failure?

Parts are available from Patterson Medical and if you have no joy with them, Kinetec in France are very helpful.

Edit: most of our failures with Kinetec CPMs are either the potentiometer or patient control button. I seem to recall that the pots are available from RS or Farnell.

I was thinking "dirty pots"* myself ... but then I noticed that Mark said he had "stripped and cleaned", etc.. smile

Thank you all for your replies.

D1 = Failure of measuring angle
D2 = Failure during motion
D3 = Failure of motor direction

D1 suggests it is not a POT issue so I will contact the French. Now where did I put my schoolboy french books?

Sous la table? grin

My spelling is not bad. I am typing this on a Medigenic keyboard and I blame that for all my typos.
