…lastly, then. Yes, we used to look after the bleeper system at one hospital I was at out in Saudi Arabia. It wasn’t too difficult back in those days. But to be frank, that was only because our team was the only one in town, as it were (I expect you know what I mean there, Huw)! smile

Thanks for the various replies.

We will be taking on telecoms as an additional string to our bow.

Cheers
Mark

It is with great sadness that I record that my old mate Ian Rez won't be answering the phone at North Midd any more. Ian joined this forum following much prompting by Yours Truly, but has made his last post (see the previous page).

I got to know "the Rezonator" during an agency booking at the famous MEMU some three years or more ago now. He was a real character, with great spirit and independence of mind. Despite not enjoying the best of health for some years, he fought gamely on, being especially active as a union representative.

They say that opposites attract, so I suspect that's why we got on so well. But where we did agree not to differ was in our shared rejection of the "mainstream"! Always questioning the status quo with a view to getting down to the bare bones of efficient working practices. For instance, Ian was very good at devising good, practical, PM procedures.

Ian fell from the saddle (as it were) whilst at work. Rushing off to yet another meeting, he failed to keep that particular appointment. I know that he was counting the days to retirement, but now it seems that he won't be getting that clock, after all.

Ian Rez. A true "one-off". Gone, but not forgotten. frown
