@Malcolm:- "Send again in clear, over".
Meanwhile, Dyson has said he will donate 5,000 units to the international effort, 1,000 of which will go to the United Kingdom.
If you don't inspect ... don't expect.

From what I could see of the front of this Dyson vent, looks to be about Oxylog 2000 level. Bit crude by today's standard but, air in- air out.

Not bad for ten day's work though.
Now we're looking forward to seeing what the Ford, 3M and GE consortium comes up with in the States; as well as GM and Tesla.
Back in the UK, apparently Babcock is working with a “leading medical equipment company†to design and manufacture ventilators. The Royal Brompton Hospital is also involved with this one, so it sounds promising.
The other major player is the Ventilator Challenge UK consortium, which includes Airbus, Meggitt, GKN, McLaren, BAE Systems, Ford, Inspiration Healthcare, Renishaw, Rolls-Royce, Siemens, Thales and Ultra Electronics. It sounds like the plan there is to ramp up production of the paraPAC and the Nuffield in various manufacturing bases.
If you don't inspect ... don't expect.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/52071611GM ordered to make vents and Elon Musk donating hundreds of Chinese vents to New York.. 👠Whats the UK latest on this? Still precious about pricing and function? 🤔 It'll be over before anything appears.. 🙄

I hear that the Gtech design is not going to proceed (which, to be honest, is not surprising).
It was a good effort though.
Meanwhile, there's a nice YouTube video from JCB showing fabrication (using laser cutting machines and what-have-you) of casings for the Dyson ventilator - in a factory that normally makes tractor cabs.
I noticed they were being painted (coated) yellow - prototypes, perhaps.
If you don't inspect ... don't expect.

I don't know if you are aware that Medtronic is making the design files for the PB560 ventilator system available to the public. The Link for this is below. https://www.medtronic.com/us-en/e/open-files.html
