Are there any compatibility issues with Syringe Drivers when used with various brands of syringes?
Do they need to be re-calibrated when changing brands?

Thanks for your advice.

Graseby issued a very useful comparrison table showing the errors introduced when using different brands of syringe in a pump which was calibrated for BD Plastipak syringes.
The worst case produced a delivered rate which was 19% over the set rate !
The error introduced depends on which syringe your pumps are presently calibrated for and who's syringes you actually use.
Try contacting your pump manufacturer for this information, or ask Graseby if they can help.

Today is the day you worried about yesterday - and all is well !

There is a useful table in the Ultramedic SDA operators manual showing the travel in mm per ml for several different makes and sizes of syringe. I can e-mail it to you if you haven't got the SDA manual.
