You should do what I do,ring the number and point out that your charge out rate is £85/hour and that is chargeable until you leave the hospital grounds.
We have added a clause to all our service contracts and warranty statements to that effect.
It tends to focus their minds when you are negotiating your release - works for me.
At QMC I simply rang the Director resonsible for the car parking from reception after the security manager refused to budge even though HE had given me permission to park on double yellows in the first place and I was held up by a meeting over-running when everyone else turned up late-because they couldn't find anywhere to park!!!
